Cremorne Point Terraces
At the peak of Cremorne Point, the Terraces are a conversion of an interwar style residential flat building into two luxury terrace houses. The design extends the existing building to the rear and creates an additional upper level within the attic space, providing a wonderful vantage point with vistas to Sydney CBD and beyond. The Cremorne Point Heritage Conservation Area is respected with a full restoration of the heritage facade, whilst the design of the new addition adopts the materiality of the local area in a contemporary manner. The interior architectural features in the existing building are restored, seamlessly integrated with the functionality of a contemporary home. The multiple living areas are generous, orienting to the view, capturing the breeze and sunlight at different times of the day, and flowing into the garden to create a holistic experience which blurs interior and exterior. Planter boxes on the rear facade provide the opportunity for enhancing the wellbeing of the occupants through the integration of vegetation within the architecture.
